The city’s campaign to highlight the dangers of opioid addiction and signal hope for healing throughout September’s National Recovery Month has wrapped for this year. Members of the Mayor and Council joined county and state leadership in attending Montgomery Goes Purple’s International Overdose Awareness Day ceremony in late August. The city held a Lunch and Learn this month with Tree of Hope, featuring LaTonia Rich, co-executive director of the organization, as speaker, pictured above.
