Bid on City Solicitations

About Bid on City Solicitations

The Collaboration Portal allows vendors doing business with the City of Rockville to view and bid on public solicitations, ask questions, view awarded contracts, and communicate with the city during the procurement process. Vendors can also view updates on solicitations, such as addendums, bid tabulations, and notices of intent to award. Instructions on how to use the Collaboration Portal are available in its document library.

Note: It is the bidder’s responsibility to frequently check the Collaboration Portal for addendums, which may impact pricing, solicitation requirements, terms, and conditions. Failure to sign and return an addendum with your solicitation submittal may result in disqualification.

To be considered for an award, a solicitation response must be received and accepted in the Collaboration Portal before the specified closing date and time. Late responses will not be accepted.

Closed, Awarded, and Canceled Solicitations

A Request for Quote (RFQ), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or Request for Proposal (RFP) that has been closed,
awarded, or canceled will be listed under Closed Solicitations in the Collaboration Portal.

  • A solicitation is considered closed when it is no longer accepting competitive responses. Submitted responses are evaluated once the solicitation is closed.
  • A solicitation is awarded after submitted responses are evaluated and a vendor is selected to provide the goods or services.
  • A solicitation is canceled when the city cancels it.
